MAINTENANCE & OPERATION REPLACEMENT LEVY

 

PURPOSE

The Wilbur School District Levy REPLACES an expiring levy.  This levy will allow for CONTINUATION of school programs and student services currently in place.

LEVY RATE

The two-year levy will provide $415,000 each in 2009 and 2010 at a levy rate of $3.44 per thousand assessed valuation.  If the levy is passed, the district will receive additional state matching funds in the form of state levy equalization support, approximately $62,250 per year provided to help keep rates lower.

The actual collection rate has decreased from the approved collection rate for the past ten levy elections.

 ONLY IF THE LOCAL LEVY PASSES.

§  Transportation for Knowledge Bowl, FBLA, Lost Lake, Band

§  Extra spring & summer grounds work,  including Emerson Park

 

 

   Qualified homeowners may apply for a senior exemption. 

   Please contact the Lincoln County Assessor for details at

   509-725-7011.  If income tax deductions are claimed for 

   property taxes, the net result is beneficial to the taxpayer.
